January 10, 1895: "J. F. Goeller, the active member of the firm of Goeller and Harshbarger plaining mill owners, is a thorough business man of this place. He was born in Ohio in 1860 and moved to Kansas in 1882, where he was married to Miss Alice Sawyer. In 1887 he went to California and four years later came to Klamath Falls. He purchased a half interest in the planing mill here, and by dint of energy and natural ability as a workman has built up a fine business." (Klamath Falls Express)
July 13, 1899: "Judging by the amount of building material that J. F. Goeller, proprietor of the Sash and Door factory, is shipping out, there must be a great deal of improvement going on in the county." (Klamath Republican)
