SEDGE & MITCHELL SAWMILL
June 8, 1917: “Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Sedge have moved to their new saw mill.” (The Weekly Klamath Record)
June 29, 1917: “While coming from the Sedge and Mitchell sawmill Monday morning Edward Sedge saw a good sized cougar in what is known as skunks canyon near Meadow Lake. The cougar looked well fed and as Mr. Sedge was in his car and got within forty feet of the animal before it scampered up the rocky hillside of the canyon he had a good opportunity to observe its condition.
This cougar was evidently looking for its breakfast and was reconnoitering to pick out a nice tender veal from among the bunch of calves that were grazing nearby.” (The Weekly Klamath Record)
